Now that you’ve purchased your Sarge™ knife here are a couple of tips to keep you and everyone around you a bit safer.
Above all, please use common sense when handling a knife.

While this is no means a complete list of safety tips, these are some of the ones we feel are really important to remember:

    •  NEVER run with a knife in your hand. There are too many opportunities here to trip or fall and stick yourself with your own blade.
If you feel like running leave your knife in the sheath or pouch, or better yet – at home.

    •  NEVER throw a knife that is not designed for throwing. You can break the blade, bend the blade, or once again, stick yourself.
Keep that knife in its sheath or in your hand. It has no business zooming through the air anyway…

    •  NEVER use your knife blade like a screwdriver, to pry things open, or to cut metal. Using a knife improperly like this could cause
the blade to twist and bend, break, or slip off and you could wind up – you guessed it – sticking yourself.

    •  NEVER use the butt of your knife as a hammer. Unless it is specifically designed to hammer with you may damage your knife.
If you really need a hammer, then get one.
If you are in the woods – try a rock, or a solid piece of wood – please, just not your knife…

    •  NEVER try to catch a falling knife. A great number of injuries occur every year from this mistake. If you drop a knife, let it fall,
and while you are at it, make every effort to get your legs and feet out of the way too.

    •  ALWAYS keep your blade sharp! A dull blade causes many more injuries than a sharp one.
You should never have to force a blade to make it cut.
Take care of the edge on your blade and it will take care of you when you need it.

    •  BE SAFE – BE SMART – HAVE FUN!
